hats on people // Nina Yau

It was such an honor to knit an Invisible Children Hat for the ethereal Nina Yau. Connected to her through Colin Wright, I was convinced this world-traveler and super-minimalist would be a hard sell for a hat, especially just as the weather was starting to warm up. But Nina was super excited from word go to get a hat!

It's always fun when folks in the Hats On People project pick a hat from my shop ... it somehow feels like more of an honor that they'd want a hat I'd created wholely, instead of "just" one that I'd knit. So when Nina chose the Invisible Children hat in a dark grey, I fell even more in love with her!

Check out Nina's writing over at Castles In The Air - you will be hooked and most likely stick around for life. You're welcome!

And for those of you that love the look of Nina's Invisible Children hat, you can pick one up for yourself in my She Makes Hats Shop - and use the code "NINA12" to get 20% off your entire order (no matter what hat you choose!).

I'm making 10,000 hats for 10,000 people. This is hat 088.
