Simple Slouch Hat



Simple and classic, the Simple Slouch Hat will fit almost any adult head. Knit in the round with quick decreases and a slouchy look, one skein of yarn is all that is needed.

Finished Measurements:
19" circumference, unstretched and 11" long, unrolled brim.

Gauge:
3 sts x 4.5 rows = 1"

Required Materials:
  • One skein of I Love This Yarn! solids from Hobby Lobby (25% of skein used)
  • One set size US 11 / 8.0mm 16" circular needle
  • Darning or tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker

Directions:

Cast on 60 stitches. Place your stitch marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist stitches.

Knit all stitches until hat measures 11”.

Decrease Row: K2tog around. Continue to work decrease row until there are 15 stitches on your circular needle.

Finishing: Break yarn, leaving a 12” tail. Weave through all stitches on needles, tighten top of hat, and weave in all ends.

  3. this is perfect. i've been doing the exact same pattern, but using 5.5mm needles and vannas choice and it doesn't come out as cute as this. what color did you use?
